VD - The Council of State of Vaud decided that (3 November 2020):

From Wednesday 4th November (5PM) until Monday 30th November (midnight):
- private events of more than 5 people are banned, both indoor and outdoor
- all restaurants, bars and coffeeshops must be closed
- leisure and entertainment places must be closed, this includes cinemas, museums, concert halls, casinos, gyms, swimming pools,… (exception - made for libraries and study rooms)
- all amateur contact sports, all indoors group sports and all competitions are banned (exception given to the under 16s); children between 12 and 16 years must wear masks for indoor sports
masks are mandatory in all indoor spaces, in cars with more than 2 occupants (except if from the same household) and in busy outdoor spaces
From Monday 9th November:
- teleworking is compulsory wherever possible.

CH - New coronavirus: new measures, rapid tests and change to travel quarantine (28 October 2020)

- all public spaces must be closed by midnight
- indoors private events of more than 10 people are not permitted
- all amateur contact sports (football, hockey, ballroom dancing, basketball, combat sports, etc.) are forbidden (exception made for the under 18s)
- for schools: camps are not permitted and students from 12 years old must wear a mask on the school campus (indoors and outdoors)
- people with a positive COVID test won’t be automatically called by the state, they must go into isolation, inform the people living in their household to go into quarantine and complete a online form to trace all their contacts
